DuShane Band Hits Over A Million Followers On Spotify A Big Win For A Independent Country Artist
Chicago, IL (August 2022) Recently the Pittsburg PA based DuShane Band hit over a million Spotify Playlist Followers. The bands front man and lead singer Shane and the bands bass player Brian Stashak, took to the 814 Sound Stage in Altoona PA, to showcase their new hit single “Sweet My Daisy Girl”. Special appearances from Studio 814’s Morgan Koziar and Rebecca Petner, plus Chef Janet of the local Sip and Saute in Altoona, PA, had lots of fun dancing to this upbeat country song.
The band was formed in late 2012, DuShane is a culmination of southern rock and country. The band consists of vocals, electric/acoustic guitars, bass, drums, pedal steel, violin, and keyboards.
Altoona’s Studio 814’s Rebecca Petner sat down with lead singer Shane Verdi and Brian Stashak, to talk about the band’s success; the guys played an acoustic rendition of “Sweet My Daisy Girl”, they also performed one of their new songs, due out this fall 2022.
Formally of the band Law and Order (MCA Records), lead singer of Dushane, was brought up on the Nashville/Memphis sound but also uses his New York City roots to create their “Urban Country” Americana sound. The Band is a blend of acoustic and sonic texture that is reminiscent of classic country and southern rock, and shimmers with modern studio sounds and arrangements.
Shane is the type of artist that is so creative and versatile; on a recent radio interview the jock opened the mic to let listeners call-in, and one caller says; hey Shane I really love your band’s music; who does the writing for the band? and Shane replied, well let see why don’t You and I write something right here and now, on the spot; the caller says I’m not a writer, I just love what you guys do, so, Shane says, give me 3 to 4 words, lets see what we can do together… you wouldn’t believe the song they came up with on the air, on the spot; the radio stations phones lit up and people were calling in to the radio station like crazy…the jock loved it!
